Wally Bransen is married and lives in Park Ridge, IL, where he is a CFO. In addition to his 3 lovely daughters (and teammates), Beth, Lauren and Lindsay, Wally has two sons, Mark & Brian. Wally and his wife are pet lovers and have a cat and a dog.
He likes playing basketball and Wally is a history buff.
Wally applied to be on the Race for his daughters and his favorite task was the Civil War re-enactment. From seasons past, Wally's favorite task was walking through the tigers from Season 1.
Wally's favorite location from his season was Costa Rica and from other seasons was the Great Wall of China.
Wally's favorite memory from the Race was "going the distance."
He has a great deal of respect for a lot of different racers but would not want to race with any of them as Wally feels he had "the best!"
Wally takes away from the Race a good feeling about being part of something a lot of people have told him they truly enjoyed and getting to connect with a lot of different people that he otherwise would never know.
When asked if he would race again, Wally says that when the Race first finished, his thought was "absolutely no - but you get the bug watching" and said he would do it again with any partner.
