Tammy sums up her desire to be on The Amazing Race in one word: "Adventure." She is a longtime fan of reality TV and was excited at the opportunity to compete in the Race.
She most enjoyed the task where she and her family carried the wounded soldiers, and Panama was her favorite destination. Her favorite Race memory involves "pulling in after another team and still beating them in a footrace to the mat."
Many teams have amused or inspired Tammy over the seasons, including Ken and Gerard (TAR3), Steve and Dave (TAR4), Rob and Amber (TAR7), Kevin and Drew (TAR1), Lisa and Joni (TAR9), and the Paolos from her own season, The Family Edition. If asked to pick one other racer as a partner, she would choose Millie (TAR4).
The most positive outcome of the Race was a simple one: "It made me appreciate how loving my family is." She would love to run the Race again with Bill.
Tammy lives in Glastonbury, CT with Bill and their three kids, Billy, Carissa and Kelley, along with their dog, 3 cats and 2 goats. She keeps busy "carting the kids to their various activities and substitute teaching." Like her husband Bill, she is trying to eventually run marathons in all 50 states.
