Bio

Rob Mariano, better known as "Boston Rob," was born in Canton, Massachusetts. In addition to being on the 7th season of The Amazing Race, Rob was on Survivor: Marquesas and Survivor: All-Stars. Rob and his Race partner, Amber, met and fell in love while competing on Survivor: All-Stars. Rob proposed to Amber during the show's live finale in May, 2004. Rob and Amber were married in April of 2005 in a lavish ceremony in the Bahamas. CBS aired a 2 hour special on the wedding entitled "Rob and Amber Get Married."

Before becoming a reality TV personality, Rob was a construction foreman with an avid interest in hockey and cards. After the Race, Rob joined CBS' Early Show with his own segment, "Rob to the Rescue."

Currently Rob and Amber are filming a new show for the Fox Reality channel called "The Rob & Amber Project." The 10-episode series, scheduled to premiere in January, 2007, will follow Rob and Amber as they deal with Rob's quest to become a professional poker player. Rob is also one of the producers of the show.

After the Race, Rob had this to say: "In our minds, we feel we are the winners because we've still got each other and that is more important that anything else." Regarding the show's editing, Rob said he was completely satisfied with it adding that the viewers must understand they were in a Race to win a million dollars; they were not there to make friends.
