Peter, from Laguna Beach, CA, is a clinical prosthetist who conducts clinical and technical seminars. His work with the Brooke Army Medical Center aids Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans in their return to active civilian lives.
Peter and his Race partner, Sarah, are Ironman competitors who share a history of teamwork. For over seven years, they have worked together and trained together. Through competitions, Peter and Sarah have experienced each other's highs and lows and were prepared for the challenges of the Race.
Mongolia was Pater's favorite city that the Race visited. He says he enjoyed the people; he thought they were beautiful inside and out. He also notes that the countryside was stunning. As for his worst moment, Peter says it was when they got a little bit turned around on the bus in Vietnam, in Hanoi. He says it was frustrating because if they had gotten on the right bus, they would have been there first.
Regarding how he was portrayed on the show, Peter says he has no regrets. He also points out that they never showed any interviews of him praising Sarah.
All in all, Peter says the whole experience was a very positive thing.
