Paul, a New York native, spent most of his youth playing competitive ice-hockey and fighting as an amateur boxer. His love for athletics naturally piqued an interest in the health and fitness industry and he began developing his personal training techniques at a local gym. His diverse work experience includes being a security guard, construction work and driving a zamboni. His piercing blue eyes and tone physique got him noticed while working at a construction site in Manhattan. Soon after, his modeling career was on the move and so was he.
Paul is currently an actor living in Los Angeles, CA with two cats. Self-described as loyal and a perfectionist, Paul enjoys ice hockey, boxing and movie making. He is currently producing a feature documentary called Official Rejection and a feature film called Normal Again (A true crime story).
Paul applied for the Race because he wanted to experience new cultures. It also helped that Amie really wanted to apply. His favorite task was trekking through the sewers in Paris and his favorite Race location was Victoria Falls in Africa. Even though Paul was a "big puss" and very nervous about it before hand, he ended up loving the bungee jump in Africa.
When asked if any other racers inspired him, Paul said "By far Dave and Margaretta Groark." Paul says the Race opened his eyes to other cultures and he saw some amazing places. He would do the Race again, but with one of his brothers. He thinks they would make a strong team.
Thankful that Amie talked him into doing the Race, Paul says they have some great memories and amazing friends from the Race.
