Bio

Nick Linz won "The Amazing Race 8: Family Edition" with his younger brothers, Alex and Tommy, and younger sister Megan. One of seven siblings, Nick stated that they would share their winnings with their parents and their three brothers who did not appear on the Race.

When asked why he thought the Linz family was chosen for the Race, Nick said, "I think my family shares a common trait in making the most of any situation."

The oldest member of Team Who-Dey, Nick was 24 years old when on the Race. His birthday is December 20. He currently works in Sales in Cincinnati for his Dad's packaging company. "I'll soon be moving to L.A. to work Outside Sales, covering the West coast (WA down to AZ)."  Nick describes himself as hard-working, out-going and personable. He is single, and enjoys Bengals Football, exercise and music.

Rapelling 270 feet down Bull Canyon in the Moab Desert was Nick's favorite task. Nick is also remembered for doing a belly flop into the pool in Park City, Utah.

Nick believed his personal worst moment was falling behind the Bransen team while on the golf course searching for the golf balls. "Who would have thought to look in the cup? Goes to show that some of us are not prone to finding our ball there!"

The Paolo Family arguments amused Nick. "While they were seemingly always at each others' throats, and it seemed to be an intensely negative dynamic for their team, I later realized that it was simply their way of dealing with each other. At the end of the day, they all showed their support and there were no questions that this team was tight."

Nick's favorite Race memory? "My best memory was the Finish. I will never forget the excitement and anticipation that I felt when performing our last task (assembling an oversized puzzle map of North America using jigsaw pieces)."

Nick felt that running the Amazing Race changed his life. "The Race was something I will never forget because it was an experience that proved to me that we as a family can work together as a "team." We can accomplish many things without letting the usual family squabbles get in the way of the overall objective."

"I have never been a big reality TV fan, but I found that The Amazing Race was an exception. This show provides the opportunity to travel to unbelievable places and see things that you would normally never have the opportunity to see in a lifetime."

"I have had many opportunities to share my experiences on TAR with others in my community. Cincinnati showed a lot of support for our team and when we returned to the city, everyone was very congratulatory of our efforts. They were very proud, which makes you feel as if your decision to go on the Race was well worth it."
