Kevin is one-half of one of the best-loved teams among fans of The Amazing Race. Kevin met his teammate and fraternity brother, Drew, in 1984, and they have been best friends ever since. Kevin is an NCAA basketball aficionado and overall jokester. Kevin's friendship with Drew has been described as being "like an old married couple: brief waves of calm in a sea of bickering, flooded with wiseass remarks and laughter." Kevin's sense of humor and positive attitude helped put him in fourth place of the first ever Amazing Race - a remarkable feat.
Kevin originally applied to be on The Amazing Race because of the opportunity for international travel. The free fall into the gorge near Victoria Falls stands out in his mind as his favorite task, and his favorite location was Thailand. His best memory of the Race is the safari in Zambia (not Namibia.....jackass!). Kevin would run the Race again in a heartbeat. As he says, "Drew and I are ready to go!"
Kevin and Drew met as fraternity brothers at St. John's University in New York. Although their opinions on almost every subject are diametrically opposed, Kevin and Drew agree wholeheartedly on only three things: The Godfather, the New York Mets and Italian food. Their sense of humor and "the best platonic relationship since Butch and Sundance" gained them many fans while on the Race, and brought them a measure of fame afterwards. Kevin and Drew had recurring appearances on The Rosie O'Donnell Show and CBS' The Early Show. They also appeared on Entertainment Tonight, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The Wayne Brady Show, The Other Half, The NFL Today, among others. In the summer of 2004, they had their own "travel docudramedy series," Kevin and Drew Unleashed, on the Discovery Channel, where they traveled to unique places meeting eccentric folks doing offbeat jobs. They also served as contributors to ESPN2's Cold Pizza.
Today, Kevin lives in New Jersey with his wife and continues to work as a Forensic Accountant for a firm in Manhattan. His interests include stand-up comedy and sports memorabilia.
